Diane Laurin

Dr. Diane Laurin received her undergraduate degree in Medical Sociology from the University of Michigan and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Michigan State University. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center and subsequently began practicing as a board certified Ob/ Gyn with Capital Women’s Care.

During the course of her career she served a term as Chairman of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and has been named among Washingtonian Top Docs. She has also been of service as a board member of a community counseling center and is a mentor with Generation Hope, an organization that supports young mothers in their quest to complete their education.

Dr. Laurin feels privileged to provide compassionate care to women in all stages of their lives. She is passionate about promoting preventive health and educating patients about their health conditions and options for management. She enjoys the great reward of managing expectant mothers during their pregnancies and deliveries as well as guiding patients through the transitional periods of adolescence and menopause. She is currently a registered provider with the Menopause Society.

She is a firm believer that overall lifestyle is critically impactful to one’s health and prioritizes addressing the patient as a whole.

Dr. Laurin is fluent in French and in her spare time loves to read, travel internationally, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy time outdoors.
